"Happy" Campers

We took off for the white mountains over Memorial Day. We were hoping to enjoy a weekend of camping. It turned out to be a whole lot of work! We were in 3 different locations, for 3 different nights.
Our first day was extremely windy. We had to build a barricade out of tarps, just to light our barbecue. That night felt like it lasted forever. Our tent sounded like it was going to blow over from the wind. (Kade slept for a solid 12 hours.)
The next day we were warned about 65 mile an hour winds, and no fires allowed. That sounded miserable, so we packed up our whole camp. We called Rob's Aunt and Uncle, and were invited to stay there. A couple of Rob's cousins were staying there also, so we stayed up late and played games. (We were also able to shower. Heavenly!)
Monday we were off to a new campsite, and it was a gorgeous day. We were finally able to play, ride in the mule, shoot some guns, cook yummy food, and have a nice time. Little did we know, we wouldn't get much sleep... The temperature dropped down to a freezing 26 degrees. It was another miserable night. (Kade slept for a solid 12 hours.) Even our dog was shivering on his bed, inside the tent. By 5 am I was in the car, with the heater on, and Boe and I were sleeping.
That was enough camping for me, for awhile...
