The countdown is over!

We dug out our "fan tags", I had shirts made, we shopped for food, and we headed out to the arena to see Celine! Just my Mom & me. Our tickets were purchased over a year ago, and the countdown seemed to last forever. I told Rob, "that this was the Christmas present that kept on giving," because I have been looking forward to this concert for a whole year!
It felt like we took a ton of pictures, but when you're taking them of yourselves it takes a ton to get a good one. So keep that in mind...
Here we are in our matching shirts, that I had made. Don't worry, we get a close up of the shirt later.
We arrived a couple hours early, to tailgate. Yes, my Mom & I tailgated at the Celine concert! We even brought a "boom box" and listened to her Cd's. Here's a picture of my Mom, setting up the table. Did I mention we were having a classy tailgate party?

We dined on AJ's fine Foods. We had a cheese ball w/ crackers, a macaroni salad, a broccoli salad, a fruit salad, olives, and sparkling (blood orange) cider. Delicious!

Cheers to us!

We brought a vase, and made a little arrangement for our table. :)

A nice old couple offered to take our picture. This was the best one, out of the 4 he took. He was having a hard time centering and focusing.

Our yummy desserts: a pumpkin cheesecake and a fruit tart. Yum!

Cheese!

One last "Cheers" before we go in.

A view of the stage, from our seats. ( That's without zooming!)

Are we excited, or what?
Here's a close-up of our shirts.
And there she is! (Someone threw that frog on stage, and she carried it around with her for awhile.)

I'm almost in tears, just looking at the pictures...

Belting it out...

There she is on the big monitor.

And there she is, on stage, in front of us!

She sang "My Heart Will Go On" for her final encore song. Those twinkling candles came down from the sky, ans she rose up from the center. It was amazing, hair raising, goose bump causing.

And then it was over, 2 hours and 7 costume changes after it began. She said she's been singing for 20 years, and I'm pretty sure I've been her #1 fan that whole time! And after 20 years, she's still amazing on stage, and her voice is still perfect.

It's all over, but what a great night, that I'll never forget!

Thanks for the ticket, Honey! And thanks for being fanatical right along with me, Mom!

I had a blast!

He Walks...and Giggles

Kade started walking on Monday, November 17th. A couple of weeks before, he walked back and forth between my Mom and I, but he came down with an ear infection and all walking came to a halt. Then he just decided to stand up and walk over to get a toy, and giggled the whole way. And now we have an official walker. And giggler! Only 15 1/2 months old! (He's a boy! He's supposed to be slow, right?)
I love the arm in this one. "Here I am Mommy!"
"I'm almost there..."

Boys = Trouble

My friend & I decided to start kid swapping once a week. She takes Kade for a few hours, so I can run errands, and on a different day I take her boys for a few hours, so she can run errands. She has a 20 month old (BEAU) and a 3 month old (GAGE). Our 2 boys play really well together.
I watched them Wednesday morning, and they loved playing in Kade's wagon. They would sit in it together, or take turns while the other one pushed it around. It was really cute.

After a couple of hours, I needed to take the baby into Kade's room to change him, and the boys were playing w/ some toys. After a minute, I hear them both giggling, hysterically. I pick up the baby to peak around the corner, and they are both in the wagon. So I finished changing the baby. The boys continued to giggle and giggle. It was so cute, until I came out of the room and saw what they were giggling about...

Beau had a RED dry erase marker, and he had been coloring all over Kade. They weren't too happy when I took it away. But I still thought it was pretty funny! Boys are trouble!

A Successful Shower... I think.

My sister-in-law Jen is getting married next week, so last Saturday we hosted a shower for her. I was the "head" party planner, but I did a lot of delegating.:) I think it was a success, and a lot of fun for Jen.

These are the cute invites that I had made.
Jen likes to take a lot of goofy pictures of herself, by herself, or with friends. So I thought this was fitting...

Our shower decor was pretty cute!
The food table...yummy!

We did some video questions with Russ.

The 4 sisters-in-law.
Jen & her goofy faces.
Thanks to everyone who helped with all of my assignments, and to Kim for letting us use her house. And Congratulations to Jen & the Love Muscle, and we hope everything goes smoothly next week!

Oh fine!

Kade took his 1st 4 steps yesterday, and who was it too?... Boe!!!!! That's right! We've been watching and waiting for the moment he would become a "big boy", and he doesn't even walk to his Mommy or Daddy. He decided he wanted to share his crackers with the doggie, so he took 4 steps, while holding the cracker out, and fed it to Boe. Then he CRAWLED back to me to get another cracker, and again walked to the dog, to feed it to him! What a lucky dog...

Welcome Home Grandma & Grandpa!

On Saturday night, the whole Eagar clan gathered at the PHX airport, to greet Terry & Lorene. They finished serving their 18 month mission in Malta, traveled around with some family for a couple of days, and then flew home on November 1st.

Kade met his grandparents for the 1st time, Saturday night.
Kade's getting a good look at his Grandma.
Rob giving his Mom a hug.

We're so happy to have them home. It will be fun watching Kade as he gets to know them. Even better, we have some (in town) babysitters now!

...smell my feet!

Kade was a skunk for Halloween, which seemed fitting, because we are always calling him "our little stinker."
We took him to the Trunk-or-Treat, with my parents, at our Church building. They put on a pretty neat Harry Potter themed carnival. I think in another year he'll have a blast!

(My Mom emailed me these pictures, and I can't figure out why they are so tiny!?)

More to add...

Here are a couple more pictures that my Mom took, during her visit.

The sun was so bright, it was hard to look at the camera.
My Mom bought Kade this cute little hat. You can't tell in the picture, but it makes his eyes look so blue!

Soccer season is here...

for Rob & I.

We play soccer in a co-ed league. Rob played on a team while we were dating, and I would bring treats and capri suns. Later I joined the team. We had a lot of fun. So when we moved back to AZ we decided to try and get on another team. We found some friends from church and joined them. We just played our 3rd game, and we're all just getting back into shape. 90 minutes of soccer is quite the workout. But we still get capri suns and treats at halftime. Go Comets!

Kade is the team mascot. He comes to every game and just sits happily in his stroller. Everyone comments on how well behaved he is. He is pretty content, most of the time.

Lotsa Stuff...

I haven't posted in awhile, but we finally bought a new camera, and I've kind of figured out how to use it. So I have a few things to catch up on.

One of my favorite things that Kade does during the day is snuggle with Boe. He loves the dog. He will go sit on the dog's bed and talk and giggle, until the dog finally gets up and goes to the bedroom. Oftentimes I will find them in there snuggling. (I think Boe wishes he could have some peace and quiet for a nap, but he only gets that for a couple of hours each day.)

My Mom came into town earlier this week, for a concert...

Yes, it was the "So You Think You Can Dance" concert, and it was a ton of fun! It was like watching "the best of" LIVE! We had a blast! We already decided we're going next year, and we don't even know who will be in the show.
Before the show...

The whole way home we listened to hip-hop music, trying to do some moves, in the car.

Earlier in the day, we took Kade to a pumpkin patch, for a photo-op. It was too hot to put him in his costume, but these turned out pretty cute.

He liked the bumpy gourds...

My sisters-in-law got together to do a little craft. We made these cute "trick-or-treat" blocks, that when turned over read: Give Thanks. It was a fun little project. Thanks to Deirdre for getting all of the stuff, and cutting out all of the blocks.
