Ouch!!!

This is what I did last night in my soccer game. Then we spent 3 hours in the ER, to find out that I have to go to a hand specialist, because they can't figure out what's wrong with it.

I took a funny fall backwards and heard my wrist make some crunching sounds.
I'm in a brace, waiting to go to the DR. on Monday. I hope it's nothing major, being my right hand and all....

Camping in Carlsbad

Over the 4th of July we did some "beach" camping in Carlsbad, with ALL of Rob's family (something like 36 people), plus all of my SIL's family. We must have had 10 campsites, with 3 families per site. We actually camped on campsites that overlooked the beach, and hiked down to the beach during the day. It was a little colder than we expected, but we had a great time!

Here's our camp, before Eric & Kim showed up w/ more grass and their humongous tent!
Havin' a peach...
My bro-in-law spent about 20 minutes making a sandwich, so of course I had to get a pic of the thing...
Doesn't it look delicious?

Goofin' around
Flying kites on a breezy beach day.
Yummiest breakfast at Brockton Villa, overlooking the ocean.
Of course we had to hit Sea World!
Checking out the map, and planning the day.
Kade's favorite exhibit. (Why didn't this picture turn?)
We went thru the shark tunnel twice, per Kade's request.
Kade & Mommy (yes, I have new eyes! It's been a long time coming...)
Kade enjoying the "white noise" on the beach.
Uncle Russ cuddling Kade (Kade's newest cousin, baby Owen w/ his Mommy, Jen)
Kade holding baby Owen, w/ a little help from Daddy
We rode a school bus over to an amphitheatre where the fireworks show was awesome!

Rob's BF Cameron, wife Natalie & baby Ava
SIL responsible for this trip, Deirdre, Wade & lotsa boys!
In awe of the fireworks.

I realized after the trip that I didn't take very many family pictures. I wish I had taken more... We did have a photographer friend take some of the WHOLE family down on the beach. I'll have to add them when we get them. :)

One last picture of my BIL, Eric. Are words even necessary?
