9/11 ...

9/11 remembered ...

Tempe had this great display of flags, set up on Wednesday, to remember those who were lost on 9/11. They set up 2996 flags with yellow ribbon and a laminated card and picture of each person who lost their life 7 years ago. It was a magnificent sight to behold!
It was extremely windy, and we were in the middle of a dust storm, but the city of Tempe had a whole presentation, ceremony, Color Guard, and candle vigil set up for tonight.
It was special night to be a part of. 9/11 changed our world forever, and I think it's important to always remember that day and to clebrate the lives of those that were cut short because of it.
Kade loved the "candle" flashlight that was handed out. I thought he was going to take it to bed with him.

Hi guys,

It's Todd Lewis from Chico CA. I'm so happy for you guys!! What a great family. I'm coming to AZ on 10/22 for my baseball tournament. We will need to hook up for dinner or something. By the way Karli the basketball court painting isn't done yet so the Kings emblem is on the way!

What a great memorial! I really want to make an effort to do something special like that each year. Even if it's a few flags and candles in my own front lawn with my kids.
I love and miss you guys!
